THE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM:

The internship program in SSP is a 6 months program which consists of training by technical professionals, subject matter experts and others.

The person selected for internship will be going through training / Sessions for

Insurance Industry training
SSP product training (functional / technical)
Various Technology training sessions (Microsoft / Java)
Soft skill training
On the job training
Interactive sessions with onsite stake holders
After the successful completion of the training the interns will be offered permanent position with SSP.

WE'D LIKE TO MEET AN INTERN WITH:

BCA/B.tech (Full time)
Passed out in 2020/2019 (FULL TIME)
Good communication skills.
Candidate should be interested in Semi tech roles. ( IT Support/ Network engineering/Application Consultant)
Should be comfortable working in 24*7 shift

THE PURPOSE OF THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WILL BE:

We are looking for Software Engineers who can contribute to the programming innovative solutions which will include projects across a variety of solutions in Digital, SaaS/PaaS, DevOps and Cloud in a global team. You will get involved in testing, module development in current and new environments, contribute to development processes, procedures and leading with examples and ideas.

As a Software Engineer you will be working with systems that deal with millions of insurance quotes a day and so, by using your knowledge and experience of software engineering, you will help the team continue to provide market leading solutions to our customers.

WE’D LIKE TO MEET A SOFTWARE DEVELOPER WITH:

• Microsoft .NET experience with customer driven approach
• Ability to work in a global team who can bring innovative ideas
• Take business requirements and ideas into complete solutions
• Work with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Testers, Support and external customers
• Application support and problem investigation to releasing fixes
• Code reviews, testing, performance tuning, analysis and quality standards

TECHNICAL Skills/Abilities:

Essential –

1. Ability to identify, troubleshoot and resolve database systems issues
2. Good in Performance Tuning, Database Architecture Design, writing SQL scripts including design, database development, stored procedure, views, query writing, joins, Triggers, query optimization, group by, Complex query etc.
3. Good knowledge on debugging the Complex Stored Procedures and SQL Queries.
4. Ability to adapt to new environments
5. Good Knowledge in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirement definition, design, programming / testing and implementation of major systems.
6. Experience on Microsoft Technologies like C#, ASP.Net MVC, Angular, Angular Js, Razor, Web API, Ajax, SQL Server, Web Services, WCF, Entity Framework etc.
7. Good knowledge of OOPS concepts
8. Experience working in RESTful Microsoft Web API, WCF, Web Services, jQuery, JavaScript

Desirable -

i) Knowledge on AWS – Platform as a service (PaaS)
ii) Understanding of HTML, CSS
iii) Experience in data migration
iv) Experience in Insurance & Finance domain

THE SOFTWARE DEVELOPER RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Applying data analysis, data modelling, and quality assurance techniques, based upon a detailed understanding of business processes, establishing, modifying or maintaining data structures and associated components (entity descriptions, relationship descriptions, attribute definitions). Advising database designers and other application development team members on the details of data structures and associated components.
• Specifying user/system interfaces, and translating logical designs into physical designs taking account of target environment, performance requirements and existing systems. Producing detailed designs and documents all work using required standards, methods and tools, including prototyping tools where appropriate.
• Designing, coding, testing, correcting, and documenting moderately complex programs and program modifications from supplied specifications, using agreed standards and tools. Conducting reviews of supplied specifications, with others as appropriate
• Identifying and resolving issues with applications, following agreed procedures. Using application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics. Carrying out agreed applications maintenance tasks
• Developing a broad understanding of technical publication concepts, tools and methods and the way in which these are implemented. Developing an understanding of development support activities, such as information gathering, user task analysis, creating draft documentation, and illustration, and printing and publishing.
• Defining the integration build and producing a build definition for generation of the software. Accepting software modules from software developers, and producing software builds for loading onto the target hardware from software source code. Configuring the hardware environment, producing integration test specifications, conducting tests and records the details of any failures. Carrying out and reports fault diagnosis relating to moderately complex problem.

ACCOUNTABILITY

• To adhere to prescribed SSP development processes, procedures and standards
• Analyzing change requests ranging from minor fixes to major functional changes
• To adequately test developed software to demonstrate that components meet all functional and technical requirements and to ensure the software is of a high quality
• To ensure that all relevant documentation is completed to the required standards
• To take all reasonable steps to complete development within realistic deadlines as requested.
• To report progress of assignments
• To assist in the design and specification of components in accordance with the user requirements or system specification
• To Implement selected solutions and document the changes made
• To prototype new or amended software in accordance with the technical brief given
• To work as part of a dedicated team, leading customer engagement
• To keep the Delivery Manager informed of progress in the prescribed format
• To highlight any innovations, suggestions or projects which would improve efficiency, professionalism or profitability
• To produce quality software and accurate estimates within realistic timescales
• To act as the Application Subject Matter Expert
• Takes ownership for learning
