We are looking for a Financial Accountant with the following attributes to join our Finance team in Halifax:

- Be a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), or working towards your qualification
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel
- Must be conscientious and take ownership and responsibility for allocated work
- Must have the ability to check own work for accuracy and reasonableness before passing on for review
- Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills
- Confident and approachable

The Financial Accountant’s responsibilities include:

- Assisting with the year end process including preparing statutory consolidated accounts and all associated disclosures
- Liaising with auditors including ensuring that adequate audit trails and evidence exists
- Supporting the development and impact of a new accounting standard (i.e. IFRS 9,15 and 16) on the accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of corporation tax, PSA and Form 42 returns
- The preparation of financial information for monthly Board meetings
- Monitoring and reporting on capex spend across the business
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Identifying process improvement opportunities and recommending solutions, including following through to ensure that recommended solutions are fully and properly implemented

The purpose of the Service Delivery Manager will be:

To manage the performance of services to SSP clients as agreed in the contract and ensure that the service levels are achieved.

We’d like to meet a Service Delivery Manager with:

- Working knowledge/experience of working with ITIL and its frameworks.
- A real passion to provide resolutions to customers through a high level of customer service.
- Relatable work experience within an IT service management environment.
- Able to demonstrate the ability to communicate at all levels.
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work proactively and independently.
- Working knowledge of insurance industry or experience of working with any SSP product would be highly regarded.

The Service Delivery Manager's responsibilities include:

- In consultation with the customer, negotiates service level requirements and agrees service levels and that the delivery meets these targets.
- Creates and maintains a catalogue of available services.
- Diagnoses service delivery problems and initiates actions to maintain or improve levels of service.
- Establishes and maintains operational methods, procedures and facilities in assigned area of responsibility and reviews them regularly for effectiveness and efficiency.
- Ensures that appropriate action is taken to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems in systems and services.
- Ensures that such problems are fully documented within the relevant reporting systems.
- Provides customer service, including technical advice and guidance.
- Helps customers to clarify their requirements; documents the conclusions reached, and contributes to preparing and supporting bids and sales proposals.

WE’D LIKE TO MEET A 1ST LINE INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER WITH:

- Working knowledge and understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy and Permissions
- A good understanding of Windows Server Technologies (Such as 2008, 2012 and 2016)
- VMware knowledge or experience would be highly desirable
- An understanding of Exchange, but not essential as full training will be provided
- The ability to investigate and provide efficient solutions for technical issues raised in a timely manner
- Experience in working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to work proactively and independently

THE 1ST LINE INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER’S RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

- Assisting in the day-to-day activities relating to the installation, configuration and operation of SSP’s hosted infrastructure
- The estate has approximately 4500 Virtual Servers and therefore administering Windows Server and Active Directory will form a large part of this role
- Investigate and solve technical problems and long-term outstanding issues
- Assist in release management and technical integration processes for projects
- Document and improve existing processes and procedures
- System performance monitoring and reporting

The purpose of the Business Development Manager will be:

To promote the sale of SSP software and services to new logo accounts in the UK insurer and MGA market. Develop and maintain effective working relationships within this market to optimise income and profit by identifying and securing new business opportunities and aligning SSP's solutions with the customers’ business drivers.

We’d like to meet a Business Development Manager with:

- At least 3 years’ experience in a software sales environment within the insurance industry and knowledge of the benefits of SaaS solutions
- Experience of insurer and MGA business requirements around: client/broker/staff portals, policy admin, product configuration, billing, claims, reinsurance and MI
- A self-starter attitude and the ability to work effectively within a strong team culture while being independent in managing his/her business
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to secure face-to-face meetings with business leaders and decision makers from the target audience
- Exceptional overall communication skills
- The willingness to travel extensively throughout the UK

The Business Development Manager’s responsibilities:

- Act as the main sales contact for the allocated area and be responsible for the achievement of the area/region’s financial targets
- Influence key stakeholders across the business to achieve profitable business growth
- Own and develop the new business pipeline within a nominated business area and ensure that SSP has a high profile
- Develop a clear understanding of clients and prospects in your area, the nature of their business, their market, their total GWP book, their extent and potential of all their relationships with the SSP Group
- Develop, maintain and monitor a business plan for the allocated area that ensures wide coverage for all SSP products and services and complete the activity and actions required to achieve profitable growth
- Work with Account Managers from other areas of the SSP Group where relevant to identify appropriate opportunities within the existing client base
- Ensure that all target accounts are kept fully informed of SSP
- Generate appropriate documentation in line with SSP’s process
- Where relevant, liaise with the Product Manager on product position, competitiveness and the roadmap
- Present at road shows/user groups
- Work with the Propositions & Product team to define and create new propositions that resonate with the market and generate profitable revenue
